Looking at photos from the previous decade, the fashions always appear so hideous and out of date. We need at least a decade of perspective before we can start to appreciate them. In the Noughties people started falling back in love with Eighties fashion and throwing Eighties themed parties. Does that mean we'll soon be having Nineties themed parties? So let me take you back. Using photos from magazines from the Nineties and my own memories, here is a definitive run down of exactly what we wore throughout the Nineties. Now that we've left the Noughties, the time has come when we're able to fondly look back at the fashions of the Nineties and work out what looks defined the decade.
We used to refer to the Eighties as the 'the decade that style forgot'. Now, of course, every body loves the Eighties and the looks have been recreated for today's fashion. After you've seen some of the photos in these pages, you'll probably think the Nineties were the decade that style forgot.
